ICRC Named One of Washington Business Journal’s 50 Fastest Growing Companies
ALEXANDRIA, VA – October 20, 2005 – Integrated Concepts & Research Corporation (ICRC), a diversified technical and management services company, has been ranked 33rd by the Washington Business Journal in its annual ranking of the 50 Fastest Growing Companies in the Washington, DC area. ICRC announced its ranking today, adding that the Washington Business Journal also ranked ICRC 20th among privately held companies. The rankings are based on the companies’ growth rates over the past few years.
Based in Alexandria, VA, ICRC provides technical services and program management to government clients, including the Department of Defense, the Department of Energy and the Social Security Administration. The company’s four divisions offer expertise in the areas of information technology, advanced vehicle technologies, aerospace, engineering and transportation infrastructure.
ICRC’s growth over the last several years has primarily occurred in three business sectors:
-
Information Technology. ICRC established its information technology practice in 2002 and now provides enterprise IT services to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, as well as assistive technology solutions to employees with disabilities at the Social Security Administration.
-
Infrastructure Support Services. ICRC provides program management for the multi-year Port of Anchorage Intermodal Expansion Project in Alaska. ICRC’s responsibilities include program oversight, permitting, materials procurement and construction planning and management.
-
Clean Fuels Research and Development. Through a contract with the Department of Energy, ICRC is leading a team in the conversion of natural gas and coal into ultra clean diesel fuel.
“We are thrilled to be included in the Washington Business Journal’s ranking of the fastest growing companies,” said Jim Lexo, president and CEO of ICRC. “Our employees have worked hard over the last several years to grow existing business and to gain new business in uncharted territories. To be part of this list is a fine recognition of their efforts.”
The 50 Fastest Growing Companies were announced earlier this week at a reception at The George Washington University. The group will be featured in a supplement to the October 21, 2005 issue of Washington Business Journal.
