ICRC CEO Jim Lexo Elected to World Affairs Councils National Board
Alexandria, VA – February 27, 2007 – Integrated Concepts & Research Corporation (ICRC), a diversified technical and management services company, announced today that President and CEO Jim Lexo was recently elected to the national board of the World Affairs Councils of America (WACA). WACA was created at the turn of the 20th Century when President Woodrow Wilson failed to gain approvals for the League of Nations. Its mission is to educate and foster debate on international issues.
As a national association, WACA is a parent organization for a network of local World Affairs Councils throughout the United States. WACA serves its member councils and the international community by holding national and local conferences and workshops; supporting school programs and other initiatives undertaken by member councils; and sending leadership delegations on fact-finding missions throughout the world.
Jim Lexo said, “In today’s global business environment, CEOs need to be aware of what is happening in the international marketplace. WACA serves a much needed role of heightening awareness of global issues and promoting the effective participation of organizations and communities in the world economy.”
